Internship/Research Areas
KAUST offers a diverse range of research internship opportunities across its three academic divisions:
Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering (BESE)
Areas include synthetic biology, marine science, plant science, bioengineering, and protein design.Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE)
Projects cover topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, 6G systems, antenna design, and RF engineering.Physical Science and Engineering (PSE)
Opportunities exist in fields like materials science, energy resources, chemical engineering, and applied physics.
There are about 137 projects to choose from. Interns are matched with projects led by world-renowned faculty, working in cutting-edge labs to tackle real-world challenges.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s (3rd year or above) or master’s program
A minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0
English language proficiency may be required upon application evaluation
Students from all nationalities are eligible
KAUST students, alumni, or current PhD candidates are not eligible

Monthly stipend of USD $1000
