Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a non-EU/EEA nationality.
- Have been admitted to one of the qualifying University of Twente Master’s programs.
- Have not graduated from a University of Twente undergraduate program.
- Comply with the conditions for obtaining a Dutch visa (if applicable).
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements (e.g., IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90).
- Not be eligible for a Dutch study loan.
- You have been (provisionally) accepted into one of the admissible UT Master programmes for entry in academic year 2025/2026 (September)
Scholarship Coverage
- A lump sum between €3,000 and €22,000 for one year.
- For two-year courses, students can receive an extra UTS amount equal to that of the first year if they have met the academic progress requirements.
- The scholarship is to cover study-related expenses; it is the student’s choice how to use the money.
Required Documents
- Valid passport or national ID.
- Academic transcripts and degree certificates.
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Motivation letter.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Two letters of recommendation.
Application Process
- Submit an application for a Master’s program at the University of Twente.
- After the application, you will receive a student number.
- Use your student number to apply for the UTS scholarship via the online application form.
- After submitting your scholarship application, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Your application will be reviewed, and you will be nominated for the scholarship or rejected at this stage.
- If nominated, your application is forwarded to the University of Twente Selection Committee for evaluation.
- The committee evaluates all nominated candidates, and the results are published.
- Based on the results, applicants receive one of these statuses: Accepted, Standby (Waitlisted), or Rejected.
- Accepted candidates proceed with the formalities (submitting required documents, confirmations, etc.).
- Once formalities are complete, the scholarship grant is officially awarded.
- The scholarship recipient begins their studies at the University of Twente.
